Submission and screening policy
Photo quality standard.
These rules govern every upload, automated flag, human decision, and appeal on VT-Snap. Reviewers apply a specific rejection reason whenever one issue explains the decision.
Technical quality
- Aircraft markings, registration, and livery details must be readable and the aircraft sharp. Deliberate panning blur is allowed when the aircraft remains sharp.
- Severe noise, unintentional blur, extreme exposure, extreme saturation, watermarks, fake skies, AI elements, and cloned objects are not accepted.
- The horizon tolerance is plus or minus 2 degrees.
- Deliberate artistic silhouettes may be accepted; accidental unreadable silhouettes are not.
- EXIF capture date and the submitted date must agree or be explained and reviewed.
Composition
- The aircraft must be the primary subject and occupy a meaningful portion of the frame.
- Cropped extremities are rejected unless an intentional close-up makes the crop part of the motive.
- Excess dead space, unclear tail-end motives, and material obstruction are rejected; in-use jetbridges and operational equipment may be acceptable.
Permitted edits and re-submissions
- Permitted edits are levels or curves, colour correction, dust removal, sharpening, crop, and resize; the uploader must declare the edits made.
- A meaningfully improved rejected photo may be reviewed again, but an unchanged rejected re-upload is prohibited.
Indian-condition adjustments
- Mild heat haze is acceptable when the aircraft and registration remain identifiable; only severe destructive distortion is rejected.
- Coastal humidity softness must be distinguished from camera focus failure.
- Slight upper-fuselage overexposure in harsh midday sun may be accepted when the aircraft remains well rendered.
- Minor terminal-glass cast or reflection may be accepted; severe tint or reflection is rejected.
